This was a deplorable stay. I was frightened and they refused to refund my money even when water was pouring through the roof of my room 307. It was even on the news for local site of prostitution with my vehicle then shown in the snapshot. Filthy carpets, rusted fixtures, hair in my sheets before I had even slept in them, puched holes in walls, garbage blown at doors, etc. I arrived late with little funds and as they had already charged my card was told I would have to wait until the manager came in the following day at 8 to speak to him in person. The reason I was there was business of which I had to be at my destination at 7:30 am. The continental breakfast was a joke, 3 small chocolate doughnuts, stale cereal with no milk and burnt coffee stain - no liquid- in a filthy coffeepot.

The only thing we liked about the Travel Inn Rockford was it's proximity to our friends place. Everything else was unexceptable!
The place was extremely run down and filthy! The building smelled of smoke the instant you entered. The elevator did not feel safe. Unpon entering the 3rd floor, we were met with the pungent aroma of incense which, obviously was masking other smells. Our room was less than clean. The bed was not made properly. The sheets hardly covered the mattress. The smoke alarm had been ripped off the wall. Just the baseplate remained. The door to the room had previously been kicked in. The safety latch was only half there. The trim around the door was split in half where the door had been kicked in. You could see thru the door frame into the hall! There were poor attempts to patch holes in the walls and ceiling. And this was just the first room they gave us! We requested another room and was given a room with more patched holes, an air-conditioner that did not cool the room, and the bathroom floor was soft and rotted underneath the tiles. A 12 inch section just inside the bathroom door was giving in as you stepped on it. The bathroom door would not close and was falling off it's hinges! Needless to say, we did not stay the second night!!

We left as soon as we saw our room. Filthy, curtains hanging by only a few hooks, bad smells, dirty floor, draft coming through window and door. All woodwork worn and scratched. Unsecure front door.

A fifth rate motel. Absolutely filthy. Carpets probably not cleaned since motel was built. I walked around the room in white anklets that were white in the morning. Not so at bedtime. Had to throw two pair away after a two night stay. Building not well maintained.

It was cheaper than most and we were only doing a one night stay.
The bed comforter was filthy, there was no kleenex, the bathroom needs tremendous upgrades, fixtures and sinks/tub were not appealing in the cleanliness aspect. The air conditioner cover was rattling so we had to take it off and the dirt on there was disgusting.
